This past weekend the Adams headed to Myrtle Beach, SC so the lovely couple could attend the annual Marine Corps Ball to celebrate the 235th birthday of the Corps. The "black-tie" affair took place at the Sheraton Convention Center right in the heart of Myrtle Beach. It was a lot of fun and I finally got a chance to dress up!!

I know..we look good ;-)

The following day we wanted to see what Myrtle Beach had to offer during the off-season and we settled on spending the day at an outdoor mall-ish place and the Ripley's Aquarium. It was great!
Nadia got to see the fish swim by. I couldn't get a picture of it, but she tried to "catch" one of the fish swimming by her hand.

Watching the stingrays

Feeling refreshed after a nap |

But not so refreshed she'd allow paparazzi. A girl has standards.

When we walked into the aquarium we noticed they had several Christmas trees set up and on display, which was nice but I think it's too early to have them up. The cool thing was they had a tree for every state with different ornaments representing the popular characteristics/logos of the state--that was impressive! So, of course since New York is the greatest state in the universe our tree was proudly displayed upon entrance into the aquarium as follows:

See? It was so close to the entrance my glasses hadn't transitioned out of its sunglasses state

Sadly, Oregon was literally the last tree we found in the aquarium, quietly tucked away between rocks:

See? Nadia is not impressed (I only say this to annoy Brandon's since I tend to boast weekly about how great NY is :-)

This was really cute and that is a real blowfish on the right

Lastly, we asked Nadia to sail us away to Jacksonville and she's so cautious she chose not to turn towards whatever is making her face look like this
